Ninana
Privacy Policy
This site has no sign-up, so there is no name, email address or phone number attached to your practice. This page sets out exactly what is stored instead.
Who this policy is from
Optimus is operated by Ninana(“we”, “us”). Our contact details are on the contact page. This policy covers https://optimus.ninana.in and applies to everyone who uses it.
What we store
When you first open the site, your browser generates a random identifier and keeps it in that browser’s local storage. It is a string of random characters. It is not derived from you, your device or your network, and it is not connected to any identity we hold. Against that identifier we record:
- which pages you opened, and when
- which papers or practice sets you started and submitted
- the answers you gave, your score, and how long you took
- the reason you selected for a question you got wrong, during the review step
- any feedback you choose to send, including its text
We keep this so the site can show you your own past reports, and so we can see which parts of the product are actually useful. That is the whole purpose.
What we do not store
- No name, email address, phone number, school, city or age. There is no account, so we never ask for any of it.
- No advertising or third-party tracking. We run no ad network, no analytics product and no social media pixels. Nothing on the site reports your activity to anyone else.
- No selling or sharing. We do not sell, rent, trade or disclose what we store to any third party, and we do not build profiles for anyone else’s use.
Server logs
Our hosting and database providers keep standard technical logs, which include IP addresses and browser user-agent strings, for security and reliability. We use Vercel for hosting and Supabase for the database. Each processes data on our behalf under its own agreement, and we do not join those logs to your practice history.
Payments
Paid plans are processed by Razorpay. Card numbers, UPI IDs, bank details and any billing information you enter go to Razorpay directly and are never stored on our servers. What we receive back is confirmation that a payment succeeded, and the details we need for our own accounting and tax records. Razorpay’s handling of your payment information is governed by its own privacy policy.
Students under 18
This site is used by school students, and we have designed it so that the question does not turn on age: we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone of any age, because we do not collect personal information at all. We do not profile users, serve behavioural advertising or track anyone across other sites. Consistent with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we do not process children’s personal data for tracking, behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising. If you are under 18, please use a paid plan only with the knowledge of a parent or guardian, since they will be making the payment.
How long we keep it
Practice history is kept while the site operates, so that a report you generated months ago still opens. Records connected to a payment are kept for as long as Indian tax and company law requires us to keep them.
Your choices
- Clear it yourself.Clearing your browser’s site data removes the identifier. A new one is issued on your next visit, and the old history is no longer reachable by you or by us as yours.
- Ask us to delete it. Email contact@ninana.in with the identifier and we will delete the records against it. Your identifier is shown at the bottom of your reports page.
- Ask what we hold. Same address, same identifier, and we will tell you.
Because we hold no identity, we cannot verify that a given identifier is yours beyond the fact that you have it. That is a deliberate trade: it is also why we cannot be compelled to hand over something that identifies you.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. The database is not publicly reachable and is accessed only by the application. No system is perfect, and we do not claim otherwise, but there is very little here worth stealing.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version appears here with a new date at the foot of the page. Questions go to contact@ninana.in.
